Wii Active Complaints
Even though Wii Active is leaps and bounds ahead of Wii Fit there have still been some complaints about it that you should read before you buy.
“My complaint is that there’s no scale for weighing, or I seemed to miss it. That’s one of the reasons I liked WiiFit because it could keep track of your weight and BMI.” – gokylessj from GameSpot Forums
“After 47 workouts, I’ve finally gotten bored of My Fitness Coach, but you can see I got my money’s worth.” – A reviewer on Yahoo Answers
“There are small annoyances, too, like being able to see your calories burned for the week but not for the day, and the fact that it thinks half-past-noon is “a.m.” time.” – A reviewer on Yahoo Answers
“My biggest complaints are the tension band (far too ‘easy’). And i have trouble getting it to recognize when i’m doing bicep curls.” – sadie147 from AtkinsDietBulletinBoard.com
“The only real complaint I have is that the resistance band is flimsy but as previously mentioned I’ll just use a stronger band that I already have.” – Hlthgrl from 3fatchicks.com
As you can see, there have been some complaints, but for the most part people are very pleased with their Wii Active systems.

I have enjoyed the game but my leg strap seems to be falling apart! First, the seam pulled apart at the end and now the rest of it is ripping.
I love the WII Active but after I did my 30 days it keeps giving me the same exercises every day. Can anyone help???
Should it take 18 minutes to do the lunges on High intensity? It’s like it doesn’t realize I’m doing anything and appparently I have burned 208 calories doing 19 lunges – and standing still for about 1 minute or more between lunges. Doesn’t seem right to me….
My 1st complaint about the Wii Active is that it works the same muscle groups each day. When all the “expert” fitness folk say not to work the same muscle two days in a row, to allow for recovery it should be one day on and one day off. The 2nd complaint is that the resistance band needs more resistance or should have more than one level of band included/available. Fortunately I have bands that are more challenging that I can use instead of the supplied band.
Otherwise I’m enjoying my workout (currently doing the 30-day challenge)!
I’am real happy with the wii active. But I have had to buy two new leg bans since buying the game. They rip apart on te inside and fall apart. I can’t afford to keep buying new leg bands.
wii active great game but the leg straps are junk.
They rip on the inside and fall apart.I have had to buy two new straps since I purchased the game.
It is ironic that I should come across this web site when looking for a replacement for my Active leg strap. It is obvious this is a huge problem. For a “game” that has some faults, it is extremely enjoyable. I’m getting results. As you can tell improvements have to be made. Listen to the customer, they are telling you what they want.
I have REALLY enjoyed everything about the Wii Active BUT the tension band has not lasted and the leg strap is falling apart. I would like them replaced. They should last longer than 2 months. I have really committed to losing weight and being fit, but this holds me back. Why would you put such junk out? When can I expect an answer?
Can anyone forward me some pics of their torn/ripped leg straps, as I would like to come up with something that can quickly fix the issue.
Please forward to enzo_annamaria@yahoo.ca
Thanks,
Enzo
I’m enjoying the wii Active, but I’m only at the 1/2 way point and my leg strap is tearing too…is there some replacement options from the company. If the strap is break in less than a 1/2 point on the 30 day challenge it almost doesn’t make it worth buying if the straps are almost 1/2 the cost of the total to replace.
Leg strap ripped after only 2 2/2 months. Should make out different material. Poor quality. Exercises good.
