Wii Active Development – Why Wii Fit Was Going Down Hill

When Wii Fit hit store shelves a while ago, it was touted as the perfect balance between exercising and having fun. It was a total combination of fitness and fun in a little $90 box.
When customers finally got tired of Wii fit, most customers will still satisfied, while others felt there was a lot of room for improvement.
What the main problem was, Wii fit focused on Asian models of fitness. People in the west, on the other hand needed something a bit different.
Another complaint many people had about Wii Fit was the fact that it would tell many fit people they were obese. What it did not realize is that Westerners are a bit bigger than Asians.
Thankfully, Electronic Arts came to the rescue by announcing EA Sports Active, it’s highly anticipated exercise game.
You can put your Wii Balance board in the closet because this new game wont need it. Instead with Wii Active, you will be using a neoprene peripheral that will attach the Wii remote or nunchuck to your leg.
This game also comes with a rubber resistance band so you can get a little strength training in as well. You will be happy about the price, it is a whole $30 less than Wii fit coming in at only $60.
With EA Sports Active, you will receive more than 25 new exercises. There are also easy to use tools that are featured as well including a virtual personal trainer, a calorie counter and even a 30-day weight loss program! Not to mention, you can also customize some of your own workouts.
EA is very aware of the major differences between Eastern and Western culture. They designed Wii Active to meet the demands and health requirements of Westerners.
Also, they made sure that they leg straps will actully fit snugly and not fall off while you are trying to work out.
